For over 35 years Stanford Fine Art has been Nashville’s premier art gallery
Stanford Fine Art specializes in American and European paintings, sculpture and works on paper from the 19th century to the present. We strive to maintain a diverse and varied inventory of carefully selected works, combining exemplary aesthetic standards, museum quality presentation and affordability.
After dealing privately in New York and a stint at Sotheby’s, Stanford Mabry founded the Nashville, Tennessee gallery in 1987 and has since established Stanford Fine Art as the premier purveyor of historical, Impressionistic and regional art in the Southeast. Maintaining a local, national and international list of clientele, we take pride in building relationships as well as collections. Whether selecting a first painting for a beginning collector or securing that pivotal work for the seasoned connoisseur, Stanford Fine Art is poised to assist their clients at any level.
Works formerly in the collection of Stanford Fine Art have been acquired by various art museums around the world from as far away as the Musee American in Giverny, France, to as close as our local Tennessee State Museum. In addition, paintings from our collection and other works acquired from our gallery have been featured in major museum exhibitions including at The National Gallery, London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Huntsville Museum of Art, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.
Our many years of diligently monitoring the art market, coupled with our in depth research and scholarship provides Stanford Fine Art a unique and timely perspective on art acquisitions. We welcome your inquiries and stand by our continued commitment of honesty, integrity and discretion with your next procurement of fine works of art.
